Whitney Kreb

About the Artist

Whitney Kreb's oil paintings pay tribute to the inherent characteristics of the coastal landscapes that she calls home. Her contemporary approach to a traditional subject matter results in a unique interpretation of east coast scenery, as well as a playful demonstration of painting's capabilities. Through Davidson College, Davidson, North Carolina, she studied in Florence, Italy, and received her BA in Studio Art. Whitney went on to receive her MFA in Painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia. She was recently named "Promising New Artist" by the Artists' Association of Nantucket.

Whitney is represented by the Tobias Gallery, the Seven Seas Gallery, and the Artists' Association of Nantucket in Nantucket, Massachusetts, and the Charleston Green Home in Charleston, South Carolina. Her mural commissions and private collections are located throughout the east coast, including Palm Beach, Florida, Charleston, South Carolina, Washington, DC, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and New York, New York. The artist currently lives in Charleston, South Carolina, and accepts commissions.
